Sounds like a cam chain issue. Pull the valve cover and see if the valves are moving while it turns over. Cant recall if these are interference engines, if so and piston hit the valves, Not a pretty situation

If you went from sync2 to sync3. You have to add code using forscan. I paid 60.00 for the code from a guy on the internet. There are more blocks on the sync3 and have to be added. He needed my vin number and gives instructions to add.

Also, do not install 3bar map until you install the tune first. Not knowing this, my electronics went crazy, throwing codes, traction control flashing, etc. make sure tune is designed for it.

I have a 17 platinum also. I chose SCT Tuner. Please note, transmissions can only withstand so much torque. I would change fluids on tranny and PTU at 30,000 miles.
