I got a call from the shop today. They have diagnosed my issues down the the VVT solenoids. Apparently the truck has thrown additional codes since I first pulled the P0010. Both bank 1 and bank 2 will be replaced.

I agree and it comes and goes. I probably need new cats, but as I've read. Typically if you need new catalytic converters, something else is going on in the engine. I talked to the guys at the shop I use last week. Going to drop it off there this week for them to look at.

@Blasted - I feel your pain. I had the same water pump issue two weeks ago. I also had the chains and tensioners replaced with the water pump. Mine didn't overheat, but was loosing a bunch of coolant out of the weeping hole. I was lucky in that I had no coolant in the oil. I wish you luck...

The first shop confirmed there was no coolant in the oil yet. That water pump replacement part list post is great, but for a job like this. I'd need a specific youtube video. I guess its over my abilities.

This post helped me out. I did the job last weekend. The key for me was unbolting the old actuator after opening the clip. This allowed me to push the rod up and over the latch for the manual unlock mechanism. Certainly no room to work, and with the window guide right there....

I agree with runningonfords. I went with the standard J style from Amazon. I spent about $100 and they are attached to the factory cross mounts...

@Travismohr88 I ended up fixing my issue by adding refrigerant to the system. I was about 15 psi low, once filled up the back vents were cool again.

The new valve arrived, $25 off of eBay. Also, it was about 90 in NC today and noticed my front vents were blowing cool, but not cold air. I had a can to recharge the system. The gauge said I was about 15 psi low. Filled it up to 45-50 psi and the back vents were once again cold. It appears...
