Was driving and my thermostat has been acting up , I think? Every morning when I drive it will go to overheat, and then it just goes down and regulates and sometimes it does it my whole drive. I have a 97 Explorer and I’m having issues with the driver window. When I try to roll down, it just makes a loud clacking noise and I have to push it down or it won’t go down. Same with rolling it back up. Pretty loud clacking noise. Any idea? Thanks for anything.

I figured maybe my fuel pump, I need to change my filter too, fedex takes too long of course. I changed it on my old explorer Sohc cause in reverse at a slant (entering driveway) it would start surging. I do hear the pump prime when the key is turned, little high pitched maybe

97 Ex 5.0. Usually on a cold start, I have difficulties starting it. I turn the key to start and it starts but I have to hold key for another 3 seconds or so so it won’t die. If I don’t hold for additional few seconds, will most likely die out. My voltage for battery and alternator are fine. Thanks

I’m looking at a 1997 5.0 Explorer AWD. Smogged, tagged. Only surface rust (lucky Californian). Straight body, 190,000 miles. Guy wants $1600. Only cons are the driver window gets stuck, and driver rear window is smashed. Good deal?

Was thinking about buying another Explorer but I had a SOHC before and I was thinking of getting one that happens to be OHV and was wondering what is the biggest difference between the two? Is one easier to work on? Is one more reliable?

You don’t think they sell new ones anywhere, or even the full harness? Not sure if junk yard would help because the lines actually broke because they are very brittle. It’s like a spaghetti noodle lol
