    Complete 01 Parts truck questions

In addition, I have all the side pieces of grey plastic trim (tupperware), clips in my garage. (And probably some of the hardware if I can locate it).

I will let you know if I part it out. I'm hoping to keep it together to be honest.

    Complete 01 Parts truck questions

To be honest..... I don't know. Possibly. (?) I hadn't wanted to initially -mainly I'll have to look into how to vin and carry away the carcass when done. I don't know yet.

    Complete 01 Parts truck questions

Thanks for the responses. BoominX; I'm near Sterling (Northern VA). 410Fortune: Yeah, I agree... trouble is it needs tags (hence the inspection) and I unfortunately don't have the time to get it squared away in my garage. :( Not sure if you remember but I've wheeled with you in SW. :) It's...

    Complete 01 Parts truck questions

Long story; I have an 01 Sport Trac... I am the original owner. I relocated from CO to VA and it doesn't pass the strict vehicle inspection here (biggest reason; ball joints, non functional e-brake, exhaust rust through, and a slew of 'minor stuff'... i.e. headlights are hazy, wiper blades...

Taking John Rock's Trac back to my place

I'm stoked it's with you... you seem like you were one hell of a friend to him. I enjoyed every moment wheelin' my track with him and later knowing he was on the wicked trails and I was on the 'modified' ones. Take care of it, I know you'll enjoy it. A part of many of us are with it and with...

    John Johnstone

Ok, I've been away from the forums for quite some time, and I couldn't find the right thread to mention my comments... so I apologize, but I wanted to write a few words about John. After I had wheeled my ST in '01 for the first time, John was the first Explorer/ST member that I actually met...

    Colorado Colors Run 09

I'd be excited to hang out with you Brian and Mike, and some others. I'm looking forward to it. I am actually hoping on some long term plans that would count me out for this - but if that stuff pushes back; I'm in for CCR '09! ;) That's just insane dude! We had a T100 in our group and I...

    Colorado Colors Run 09

Just a guess; but I'd say he's PMing about this with MrBoyle?!! HA Ha :D If I'm in Colorado in Aug/Sept. I'm in for it (since it'll probably be the only 'away' trail ride that I get to do this summer). I've got some kind of pass. side front axle seal leak or something that I need to...

Moab 09 - May 30-31 (Important info in first post)

For only the second time in 8 years of wheelin' with this board; I have to back out. I'm irate about it but a close friend is getting married that weekend. I had two options; but she (selfishly) wouldn't change the date to a non-Moab Trip wheeling day, and she...

Grabber AT-2's go on tomorrow-?'s about 10 ply

Well I've been on Pro Comps for 5 years and I'm going to 265 75 16's on stock wheels tomorrow - but I wondered if anyone had any comments on how harsh 10 ply tires will/do ride? I'm guessing 6-8 ply are the most common? Doesn't really matter anyway, they're still going on :p: The Pro Comps...

new member from colorado with 98 limited...some questions.

I've done a ton of tire research (as many of us have here :)), depending on the size you're looking for I can seriously recommend the Pro Comp AT's, especially for their snow traction. I've been running them for the last 5 years here in Denver and they are great. They have been nothing short...

First off, I have to SERIOUSLY appologize for not giving an update after my issues and thanks due to you all with your speedy recommendations. There is no excuse for that. I'm sorry. Paul you were 100% correct, my issue was that elbow and man was it close to completely cracked and...

Rough idle and stalling help needed!!

Thanks for the links and info. I totally agree that buying the dignostic parts would be the best long-term way to go; the only codes that came up I had read by Autozone re; too lean.... The crappy part is I don't have a lot of time to troubleshoot codes, nor do I have a car I can run up to...

Rough idle and stalling help needed!!

Well I couldn't find a shop that would test my fuel pressure without charging me an hour of labor.... so I made an appointment at a Midas that is close by (since the truck is almost completely undrivable) to have computer diagnostics done on it to see if they can extract probable causes to save...

Rough idle and stalling help needed!!

Cool, thanks. So the one I asked about sounds like the right one to look at for cracks..? Boy rough idle sucks... truck is undrivable due to loss of power (ie, brakes :() at inadvertent times and it can be a dozen diff. things! Reading another post on IAC cleaning now before I go to work...

Rough idle and stalling help needed!!

Thanks for the pic of the IAC... I located it; but I don't see any vaccuum lines going into it nor any fittings for any (there is an electrical plug out of it) and lower on the plastic housing covering the heads is a rigid curved rubber line that goes toward the drivers side and under the...

Rough idle and stalling help needed!!

Thanks for the ideas.... where is the IAC located? Can I just go to any shop and ask them to check the fuel pressure or do I need to go to a certain kind of shop (I just don't know if I should try to drive it up to firestone or a similar shop?). I just had the fuel filter replaced in it about...

Rough idle and stalling help needed!!

Ok, my truck has been running like crud lately... well yesterday (on my way back from having my 'check engine' light code read) it started stalling at every stop!! RPM's bounce from 500 to 1200+ at a stop (when it runs). The guy at Autozone said the engine code read as "Lean bank 1 and Lean...

    Anyone run 235 85 16's??!

That's a good point about the load rating. Interestingly, most of the 265 75's that I've looked at are either solely available in "E" rating or that is their most desirable tire available. Thanks for the reminder to look at the load rating.

    Anyone run 235 85 16's??!

I am ordering tires this week and I'm dead sold on going with Pro Comp AT's and I had thought I was going to get the replacements in 265 75 16 (going back to stock wheels) but now I'm thinking I may as well research to see if anyone has run 235 85's. I realize it's a pretty narrow combination...

Where can I get an alternator install step-by-step

Thanks JoeMahma, that's a great start for me... I'll have to spend a lot more time on that part of the autozone site. Since it's a hi of 18 today, I think I'll push it off till tomorrow when it's supposed to be 20 degrees warmer for a balmy 38 degree hi which is alot more comfortable. ;) Thanks...
