the tstat was a stock replacement and I checked the recirc doors and blend doors last year and they were fine.. is there an electric fan that bolts on or just a universal type? Also what would be a recommended tstat degree wise?

When my gauge shows normal operating temperature my upper hose is still on the cool side. I would say not even luke warm. Is this an indication of water pump? My heater hoses are so hot I cant touch them and I have checked the coolant level and it is full.

Im having the same problem. I have flushed the whole system including both cores changed the control valve and thermostat. The only thing left that I can think of is the water pump, but would there be any other indications of a poorly working water pump?

Is it possible that the water pump just isn't working properly and not flowing enough when at idle?

You may also want to check and see what the default is set for m/t or a/t.. I just put an astrostart in my 03 and default is m/t. It turned on the parking lights and everything and then shut right back off until I changed it to a/t.

yes fuses are all good and the relay is the wac (i think ) its in the dist box and it has a wire that goes straight to the compressor ( no power, but if I jump power to it clutch engages) it also has a wire that goes to high pressure switch and one that goes to the low the low pressure switch...
