Hi All Just got my second Explorer after a long brake. Can anyone help me with some info on these oil restrictor valves to stop the oil draining from the tensioner. i.e do they work how hard are they to fit l have a good mechanical knowledge but can't seem to find any fitting info on them...

Don't know still looking, It started to blow fuse no 3 under the bonnet. cost me a lot in fuses then all of a sudden it stops blowing. So a bit stuck now. Stu

Hi Rich Is it the same one that fits on the fuel pump ? If so l cut down the nozzle of the end of a silecone tube bit daft but it worked. Stu

Not really using Anything in particular when it blows. But the fuse runs the fuel pump and the immobiliser. Hard to test as the fuse blows before you get chance to check anything this my prob and the cost of the fuses. HA HA HA HA Thanks Stu

Yea in the uk but thanks anyway for trying.

Press the key fob to turn the imobilizer off, Then turn the iginition on and the fuse blows, The fuse in question feeds the imobilizer and the fuel pump. Maxi fuse no.3 yellow 20 amp in the engine compartment, this is in the drivers handbook.

Thanks Kev Fuel pump works because the car runs for a short time if you put a new fuse in. Sounds like a have a short but stuck on how to trace it as l can't isolate the circuit. Stu

Hi Kev The fuse protects the anti theft system and the fuel pump. Bit hard to isolate one at a time.
