    engine smoke

One thing I was worried about was the possibility the car is burning the oil inside the engine. Only because the car doesn't smoke at idle or when just sort of scooting around and i get the feeling the engine/exhaust is not any hotter at higher speeds. But rather the rpms. is it possible i...

    engine smoke

The engine itself smokes on my 94 ex. If the car is just idling or driving around slowly it's perfectly fine. But if I take it up to 55 it'll run and drive fine but when I come to a stop and open the hood there just tons of smoke coming from the lower area of the engine. I THINK , it's oil...

    New Head Unit Radio Pop

I'd recommend bypassing the stock amp because it's not very good and the head unit itself would power the speakers far better.

    keyless entry

I have two 94 ex's. one is a parts car and has the stock keyless entry antitheft system. I would like to add it to the other explorer. I have no idea if the other explorer has keyless entry already , it only has a standard key. I'm wondering what it is all have to do to move the system...

Before and After new rubber seals on the roof! these are purely decorative as they cover up alllll my horrible fabrication skills. The rubber strips are garage door seals with double sided tape holding them on.

    bubbles in coolent return jug

so when I test drove the ex today after a winter of sitting when I stopped and opened the hood the return jug for the antifreeze was bubbling. I can't teil if thats simply air in the system escaping or if I'm boiling the coolent , the car doesn't run hot or overheat.

It really doesn't matter what number you choose to print onto the vehicle. Screen accurate would be 4 or 5. But they are all identical and any number of them could have existed. And yes almost everyone has done each number. Mine will be numbered 2 as it's the second one I've made.

As of right now there isn't much as far as updates , once it got too cold to work on that's it gotta wait till winter is over. Or until I can figure out a heating solution for the garage. It does however still start/run very well so at least theres that. I was worried having it sit too long...

explorer dd build plan, any input is appreciated

Then don't buy an early 90's explorer. Take it from someone who has had 6 explorers 4 of which were first gens. Daily driving you'll get at best 20mpg , they have way to many early electronics in them that over complicate what should have been a very simple and straight forward vehicle...

Rebuilding a 2nd gen Explorer with a 1st gen rear clip

I still think you should use first gen tail lights so it truly looks like a half first half second gen. As far as the blinker is concerned just make another hole in the main chamber for the blinker bulb.

Ah see I couldn't find any locally , most are only available online. Plus as usual I'm low on money so anything i can make for free helps. I made tons of progress on the painting! Its very cold here lately and it makes working on the car really hard. I still gotta paint the door handles ...

Making my own tail light covers because they're hard to find and I'm pretty broke. I don't expect these to actually protect the tail lights at all , more just decoration.
