I'm gonna hafta go to the stealership to get the bolts for the shifter. Anyone happen to know what part #s I need for those? I need both bolts that hold the shifter to the tailshaft housing

They don't sell the cats at junkyards, I think its against EPA regulations or some crap like that. I would love to just nab a used one but $65 isn't a bad price for a brand new one. The only reason my other one failed so soon was I drove it for a while with a lean condition. Oops

I found a transfer case shifter! I pulled it from a 92 Ranger, it was just hanging there from when the yard pulled the tranny. I got so lucky! I'll try to install it in the next few weeks. I'm ready to have that part of the swap done and buttoned up

awesome! then i think I'll stop by the pick a part and see if I can nab a stock muffler for super cheap or stop by some auto shops and see if they have one kicking around. if I keep this on a tight budget I can afford to get my truck all fixed up and maybe buy some parts for the stang :chug:

Well the "F77Z-6379-AC"s intended for the SOHC were the correct bolts for my truck. :dunno: I'll sell the other set on Ebay. The correct socket for working those bolts was a 12mm Star. I bought a set of star flavored torque wrench sockets at Harbor Freight for 8.99

I ended up drilling a hole as well. rear main is replaced. I'm gonna order some new bolts for the flywheel tomorrow. I won't be able to finish her up until next weekend. I'm exhausted and I didn't get anything accomplished haha
