those are bolted incorrectly, they are suppose be on the bottom. I replaced my links with ford ones and I think I got the problem solved. Ford links have plastic casing over the bushing so they don;t flex with different road conditions, the aftermarket ones just can;t duplicate the OEM this time.

This seems to be a hard code in the system and it won' t flicker on and off. Once the CEL is on, it won;t shut off till you clear the code. Where is the ground for the harnesss and where does the harness come froM?

Does it do it all the time or once an awhile. If it doesn't do it all the time, it could be your flywheel. I had a 1995 explorer before and the flywheel was damaged and it did that.
