Strange thing happened last night.

Fuse ( position 20 in the fuse block [ associated with RAP module, GEM module, radio ] melted in its slot. That’s right. It didn’t just blow it melted.

When I tried to remove it, it separated with part remaining in the fuse block.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to remove the remaining part?

What is involved in removing the fuse block?

HELP.

ok--
it shouldn't be fused that well, (sorry for the pun)

of course-remove the negative terminal from the battery--

then see if you can get a grip on the metal tab with a small needlenose pliers or hemostat.
If you can try twisting until it clicks free--gently-

I recently noticed my headlight fuse had a bunch of "black crud" on the tabs--seems like the zinc coating was defective--

Here is a picture of the melted one next to a new one ....

Got the parts out. However, some GEM functions stilol do not work.

I reckon I fried the GEM.
