I'm salvaging a manual trans out of a 2003 Ranger 4x4.
I'm kinda confused on the apparently 3 piece crossmember. I'm used to the one piece on my old 93 Ranger.
It looks like it's designed so the center section can be unbolted and dropped away.
This pic is drivers size looking forward. I have the two upward facing bolts out, and the one horizontal bolt above them out. Seems like that should do it, but it's still holding the weight of the trans and tcase up.
What am I missing?

your not missing anything. sometimes (ok, most times) those are wedged in there pretty good. grab a pry bar (assuming you have the rubber mount unbolted) and pry on the corners of the ears of the cross member and it will pop out. yes, its that easy.

Cool thanks. I'll try that.

Yep, I used a small sledge and taptaptapped it out! Thanks!
I have the trans out and home, to be installed into the 95 on the near future.
