Hey whats up!
This site is great i had no idea that it even existed, hopefully everyone can try to help me out as new products are being released.

i have been in the search of a 6" lift for my 2000 explorer XLS. i heard that superlift is coming out with one at the end of this month(via phone conversation) but who knows who i was talking to since he was somewhat uninformed. i also heard of a 4" trail master kit that is out right now, although my info has been limited.

if there is someone who could possibaly give me some insight and direction in getting started, it would help me admencely & sleep better. i know that there isn't just the lift involed but many other add ons that are need to be accomplished as well, in order to make this a true 4x4. (steering stabilizers, gear ratios, ect.) i am very serious in getting started (just so no one thinks i'm playing around) thanks for taking the time to read this & i'm looking foreward to a reponse. First off, WELCOME. This is a great site to find information. Lifts for late model explorers are not easy to find. You can put a 2" or 3" body lift on. Check out 2001ExpSport, he has a write up on doing a 3" body lift on a 2001. Also GJarret has a good write-up about anything you want to do to your Explorer. Let me be the first to tell you that the search feature on this site is great and very informative. I see you are in ILL. Check out the NoIEC link in my signature. Once again WELCOME and enjoy the best Explorer site on the web(thanks to RICK).

Superlift and Trailmaster already have 4" lifts out for 98+ Explorers. In conjunction with a torsion twist and shackles this will give you about 5.5" of lift. If you still need more you can get up to a 3" body lift. Both 4" lift kits are about $1200. They also both require a new and/or modified front driveshaft which can get expensive.
