You DONT NEED to cut the body work like he did in those pics above. The only trimming needed is light trimming on the inner fenders.
ok. so with 285/75 R16 tires, only light trimming on the inner fenders is needed to clear that size, mainly up front?

Yes, but to be honest if you plan on offroading at all, I would suggest the smaller 265 tire. I had alot of rubbing on my ST with only a TT mod and 285 BFG's. It was bad enough I spent 2k for a superlift kit. And then went on to where I am today. And the rear never rubbed anywhere.

ok. thanks. do you think that a 265/75 R16 mud tire will look aggressive enough, in your opinion? also how did you re-mount your brush guard to still fit the truck with a 3 inch body lift installed?

A 265 mud tire will look great on there. And for my brush guard I got a mig welder and modified the brackets. But the brush guard is now long gone as I got tired of having a smashed, scratched, and dented grill guard on my ST.

oh. ok. i talked to this guy in my town today, and he said that he has 285/75 R16 on a 16x7 rim. and he thinks i will be able to run that size with a 2 inch TT and shackles with minimal trimming. so thats what i might be shooting for....idk though?

well...I'm about to try my 33/12.5/R20's with just a tt/2"shackles and see how it goes....should be here by tuesday/wednesday....hopefully it'll work

A little rubbing never killed anyone, till that little rubbing kills fenders offroad :p:

P.s. how wide are 285/75's? I know they're 33's but are they 10.5" wide or larger?

285's are a little smaller than 33's and are about 9-10" wide. I really do not see how a 12.5" tire will fit with only a TT but good luck. Hopefully you took the wheel backspacing into consideration before buying. I know on my ST with 8" of lift and my wheel backspacing there is no way possible for a 12.5" tire to fit, because the tire will rub on the knuckle.

Yeah them fitting is like best case senario....dont quite have $$ for the next few days to do the BL but next week right when I put the tires on I'm doing the BL because I know it won't work LOL. The wheels are 10" with with 4.5" backspace...should be enough to not rub INSIDE at least :p:

I look at it this way...right now, the wheels on here are POS 7.5" wide american racing...with about a 6" backspace(not exagerating) with a 265/75/16 tire and somehow managing to only rub on frame and knuckles a small bit...so, 1.5" more backspace will hopefully be a lot better. :)

285's are actually like a 11.2 width 33 inch tire. i think they will fit on my stock rims. but when your tires get here, let me know how they fit. but im pretty set on buying a 285/75 R16 mud tire for my ST.

I just fit my wheels n tires on today. The wheels came with 35" mud grapplers, thought what the hell I'll mount em and see if they even work-if not i'll try the 33's.

Long story short, with some metal cutting(not that much) its drivable with 35's and just a TT/ 2" shackles LOL
I definetly can't steer full lock.....I can go to about 1/2 way...so no tight turns or parking spots, but, do-able. Rear doesn't rub at all anywhere except when flexing a good bit...
Of course I'm waiting on the BL to come but until it does...the stuffed 35's looks BEASTLY with these rockstars.
Looks like ass in this pic, but looks a ton better in person...before trimming:

Better pics tomarrow :salute:

looks good, better later with the BL. You prol got quite a bit of lift just with those beastly tires.

omg. that ST is awesome! what width tires are those, cuz i saw this bar on the inside of my tires, and im not sure now if i will be able to fit 285/75 R16, dont know if i can go wider than stock

12.5"

...if your talking about the upper control arm, yeah i used to rub on it with my old wheels and 265/75's...but if you got some spacers you could run the 285s! :)

someone please look at this link, is this a kit with 4 inches in the front and the rear?
That is part #9637. Called the Front Kit Box. I'm pretty sure it does not contain the rear parts. You would need to call Superlift to find out exactly what parts are included with that Front Kit Box.

Here's Superlift's webpage for the Sport Trac lift.

Funny to note that Superlift's website lists the Part #9637 for about $6 less than the link you provided.

about 80-100ish per pair....as for the rear, honestly, I'm more of a mount it...see if it fits...go from there kinda guy

No. Look at that webpage again. Part #9637 does not have the shocks. Part #9638 is the Front Kit Box with Shocks for $1280.54. Seriously, you need to call Superlift to find out what parts are included in those kits.

I ran into a similar deal on 4 wheel parts web site. They were calling it a kit but it was just part of the kit. I called them and he basically said they put it on the website that way to get you to buy and then have to call back and order the rest of the kit. When it is said and done it was about $1800.

would spacers on the front and not the back look terrible? but it kinda makes more sense to just do it on the front and the rear. would there still be enough tread left on the bolt with the spacer installed to put the tire and lug nuts back on?
