C/O conversion
pretty straight forward. Buy the shocks and mouting parts and bolt it on. There is some welding involved as you have to gusset the shock towers. But it rides better than the torsion bars, and I no longer have the t-bars hanging down below my truck catching everything insight. The cost was about $1100 because I bought Fox coilovers.- Thanks Chad551

**Update**
We have some confirmations that you can fit 35`s with a TT/Shackels, With alot of trimming though... Thanks ADAS!

Now I know I might have left somethings out, had somethings wrong, So PLEASE Let me know and I will fix it. I would also like Prices if possible.

Where do you plan to get the those RCD parts from? RCD doesn't make them anymore.

But if somehow you get the parts, here's GJarrett's post on his conversion without a suspension lift. http://explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217561
The frontends of the 1st generation Sport Tracs are the same as the 2nd generation 4 door Explorers.

I updated the first post with the following information...

RCD's coilover conversion lift is discontinued. But you never know if you might find the parts used.

Might want to move it down to the C/O conversions section in case some one over looks the Lift section

whats the best way to get 33s on a 01 st. ive seen a couple of of pics and i really like the 3" body lift and 2" torsion. How much will that cost?

First, don't double post your questions. I deleted your other post in the other thread.

Second, the approximate costs are in the first post of this thread. If you click the link to the Performance Accessories 3" Body Lift catalog you would have found out the Part # is 70023. And you need to research who sells that PA Part # and for how much. I personally don't advice doing torsion twists. It's a waste of time and money compared to the gain. And you will just cause your torsion bars to fatigue faster and your truck will go lower again. Just do a body lift and with the right tire/wheel combo you may just get away will a little bit of trimming on the wheel wells.

There is a member on the ranger forums that is making the RCD style coilover brackets. Personally after doing all these lifts ( TT/Shackle, body lift, and C/O conversion)that are listed, it is cheaper to just do a SAS. And your suspension will 1 trillion times stronger IMHO. :D And can be a daily driver, I drive mine everyday.

oh sorry i didnt kno how this worked. thanks man.

Hello All, I have a question I put 265-75-16 on my 03 Sport Trac yesterday and they rub on the inner fender well when I turn sharp. Now my question, Has anyone ever used those Spring spacers that you put in between the coil springs that give you 2in lift? I want to lift the whole truck about 4inches but I just bought a new Harley so the truck has to wait a little while. Would this fix the problem temporary?
