01: Changed P.Steering, still problems?

I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 4.0l v6 2wd. I changed the power steering pump, there is no froth or bubbles in my fluid. Still isn't working correctly. What other things should I check to ensure this isn't a defective part I'm using? Anything electrical or otherwise?
