as some may know i have an 01 eddie bauer v-8 EX, recently i went to pull-a-part to get an NP435 (pretty heavy) for my BroncoII project, i had some help to set it in the back of the EX, and i noticed no "airing" of the suspension which i normally hear. then when we went to start the EX to leave i noticed a new light..."check susp." ???????????????? since then the light is on, everytime we go somewhere, none of the typical "airing" since. so, i just thought before i get into chasing this down, maybe someone else has had a similar issue......

I'm having a similar issue... but the EB is new to me so I didn't know that you're normally suppose to hear it air up... it just says every so often that check air ride system....

First check to see if the rear height sensor is still in place, intact. It's a complicated and expensive part that you normally never touch. If that is okay then check the fuses, two in the main PDB. If that's good and you still don't hear any compressor noise, likely it's the compressor or it's wiring. The usual problems are leaks in the lines, connections, or shocks. Hope for the leaks, those are the easiest to fix.

FYI, one indication that the system is trying, is a clicking occasionally. The system checks the height at certain times, and one or two clicks are heard then. If you have the clicking, the fuses, wiring and module are probably okay. That's the hard stuff to fix. Regards,

It did click quite alot while we were working on it... even w/o the key turned forward... So what could it be? Compressor?

That would suggest the compressor, if the big fuse is good. I think the 30 amp fuse is for the compressor, the rest is minor power from the other one.
