01' exp. sport CARGO NET NEEDED!! (dealer 14 days??) help

hey guys, i need yet some more advice! lol.

heres the deal, i have an 01' sport. i want a cargo net to hold things down to the floor in the back. but the problem is this. my exp. has 4 SOLID rings. no openings like on past models? so the net has to have 4 hooks. and most nets dont have the hooks i was told. so the only place i could find one was the ford dealer.$36(didnt think to high) but they said it will take 14 days to come in. i fig. j.c. whitney might have but cant find. any sources??

any help appreciated....

here's what you do.....

Get a net for an earlier year Explorer......
Go to your nearest home center or hardware store and purchase 4 "S" Hooks. Attach them on to the net, and close 1 side of them around the net, so they are now permentaly on the cargo net.

I took the one from my old '92 and put it in my '01. I went down to the local Wal Mart and got 4 of the cheap red carabiners they have and clipped it to the rings with that. Works great and the carabiners hold it in place when it's loose. The pix below isn't great, but you can just see the carabiner in the top right corner of the net.

j draper... wow, thanks for the idea for the carabiners... oh, by the way, the net did come in. its a lot nicer than i expected. its got a quick release button. to make/draw slack in...


the only thing i cant quite figure out is, it seems that you can only get it so tight. i.e. i put a bottle of window washer fluid in it. and the thing slides around all over. other than that its .... "pimp"...
