01 Explorer 4x4 Does Work - Already started troubleshooting, NEED HELP!

The 4WD will not engage and the lights do not come on in the dash board. Here is what I have checked so far.

Fuses are good, replaced the 4x4 CM with one from an 05 Ranger (same vendor part#), Shift motor was replaced by the dealer at 74,000 miles (currently 115,000).

The dashboard lights do come on when I turn the ignition on. If I switch to 4WD low or high I get no light, but I can here the control module (under the glove box) clicking every 5 seconds. It starts clicking once I turn the 4WD knob, but even if I go back to 2WD it continues to click every 5 seconds until I turn the car off.

Help!!!

Trying to figure this out...

I have been reading them, I was hoping someone could help diagnose with the extra info I have. Most specifically the fact that the CM clicks every 5 seconds once I turn the switch. Does that mean the CMis bad or it keeps trying to get the swwitch motor to work????

Any help would be greatly appriciated.
