02 EB Advanc Trac

i have an 02 EB with the 4.6 and i am dealing with the advanc trac light flashing and the advance trac off then check advance trac light in the display. it sometimes tries to engauge the 4x4 on decell. any help would be nice.

Questions:

1. How many miles are on your Explorer?

2. Have you ever had the front wheel bearings changed out?

Take a look at THIS THREAD. In my case it was the driver's side wheel bearing that needed to be replaced. If you have over 80K miles and you've never changed out the front wheel bearings then my money is on that.
