Hello all,
First time posting...
About a week ago we replaced all the plugs and the coil-on-plugs on my friends 02 explorer 4.6L. He was getting 2 misfire codes. Cleared the codes and off he went. Yesterday he stops in and said the engine runs better now but the check engine light just came on again. The only flag that's "incomplete" is the evap system.
The only code that comes up is P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)
We took it for a ride and I graphed all 4 O2 sensors. I can't post attachments so I included a link to gdrive where I dumped the pics into...
Not an expert btw... but my understanding is that the pre-cat signals will look like a sine wave that varies between a min and max voltage and the post-cat signals would be a smaller voltage variance with a longer(delayed) duty cycle?
Looking at the screenshots I took of the scanner while driving... B1S1 & B1S2 seem to follow that but B2S2 seems to mimic B2S1.
I'm having a hard time making heads or tails of what I'm seeing. Could the B2S2 signal mean the cat blew out?
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!!!
Adam
