I just did my rears for the first time ever, and they're actually simpler than the fronts. Waiting for the anti-squeal stuff to set took longer than actually replacing the rotors and pads.
Wheel off to wheel on, took about 30 minutes. And ten of that was because I was a moron and put the left pads on the right rotor, and swore at it for a couple minutes before realizing my mistake.
Back when I did my rear brakes on my '03 XLS, the rotors were tough to get off. The parking brake shoe wore a groove. It took a lot of pounding but the rotors finally came off. I had to replace all the parking brake stuff also.

Yeah, my parking brake was toast... Half the shoe came off with the rotor on each side... I never use my parking brake, so I didn't feel like putting the brakes back together, going to the parts store to get parts, then going back home to take the brakes apart again and teach myself how to do the e-brake.
