my parents 02 explorer just broke another drivers side swaybar link, this is the second time this year.
i noticed it today when my parents came to visit me at college.
if some one can get a picture of how the link attaches to the sway bar that will be very helpful as the explorer is now back in new jersey and im in Connecticut.
from what i could see the hole were the link attaches to the swaybar is wallowed out and the only part of the link that was threaded was were it attaches to the a-arm, it seems to be a press fit were it attaches to the swaybar.
EDIT: i just looked at a picture of the links on summitracing.com and it seems as if the upper threaded part(the end that attaches to the sway bar) has sheered off :EDIT
i am a very skilled mechanic but explores are not my strong point as it has not needed that much work, i am used to working on my 97 jeep wrangler
if you need any other info let me know
