02 explorer tailgate????

i have and 02 explorer xlt and on the back tailgate there is a strip of plastic right under the glass where the ford emblem is. this piece of plastic is cracked and i was wondering if anyone knew where to get one or what this piece is called. thanks

Its the rear applique panel. Its a common problem. You can get the piece from the dealer. total cost of installing and painting is between 250 and 300 dollars. You can get the piece and install it yourself but it needs to be painted. The part costs between 50 and 60 dollars.
