02 Explorer Won't Idle/Stay running?

2002 Explorer 94K original owner.

Recently being parked outside while the 66 Fastback gets worked on in the garage.

Guess she's ticked off because now she won't stay running!

Won't start but if I give it gas and it stays running, take your foot off the gas and she dies.

No check engine light. Gauges show OK.

One foot on the gas and one on the brake at stop signs today on my way to the store!

By the time I got home I would have almost a little idle, but you could tell she just wanted to die.

Any ideas?

Idle Air Control (IAC) valve.

Thanks. Is that something I need the dealer to replace? Ideas of cost?

you could buy or clean it up. probably $100-$160 from a dealer.

Checked it today, didn't show a code, says PASSED.

Still won't start!

Hubby is under the hood any suggestions?

replace idle air control valve...its 2 screws...
