02 Explorer XLT cranks but wont start

OK wait a minute I keep thinking first gen, we are look'n at an 02 here!

Just test at the pigtail connect your meter to both wires and see what you get.

Try changing the crankshaft positioning sensor I had the same problem.ford dealer changed DPFE sensor MAF sensor cleaned and replaced the EGR sensor and cleaned all the piping for that Plus IAC valve.Sill car be fine for 3or4 weeks and then crank but no start. I heard about the crankshaft positioning sensor from a number of sources the cost runs about .$11 to $40.I ordered one and I'll report back and see if this works.

Yes it is an 02 with a 4.0 Explorer XLT.
I think this is the only ground the pump unit has is in the harness the Blk wire?
I know on my old trucks they are grounded right to the frame . I will check tomorrow if the weather gets above -10 ! To cold here in the Ozarks to go out for long.
Thank you

My fuel pump is not working and maybe a wireing problem I have been looking at.
Thank you
