- 2002 Mountaineer V6
Hi,
I've got a 2002 Mountaineer V6 w/ 120k miles and am an amateur learning repairs as I go to keep it running. I've replaced the front bearings, the brakes, the serpentine belt, and some sensors.
This week it started misfiring cylinders (#4 on Wed, #6 on Thurs, #5 yesterday) on cold mornings. It runs fine after the engine warms up after 5 minutes or so. The plugs and wires have never been changed, so I was going to start there because they're original and need to be replaced anyway. Thought I might need to consider replacing the coil as well. Any advice on how to diagnose the real problem would be appreciated. Thanks much!
