02' Mountaineer is shifting hard.

I own an 02 Mountaineer V8 AWD with 120,000 miles and recently it has started this weird shimmy when it is upshifting. It doesn't do it all the time very odd. I also just had to replace the clutch pack in the rear differential. Just wondering if this shifting issue is very common and what fixes has anyone done. IE. tranny modulator Thanks!!!!!!!

I had an aftermarket servo installed, and flushed the fluid. It has certainly helped. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. check out this link and i'll send another shortly. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/...d.php?t=164055

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the transmissions section. How many miles does your vehicle have? Do you have a flashing O/D light or a check engine light?

I have no blinking od light or no check engine light. It is very odd it doesn't happen all the time and is more apparent when you are getting on the freeway and it shifts into od and shimmies going into gear.

The 5R55W has known issues with the servo bores wearing unevenly, and the solenoid blocks causing shifting issues after 60K miles.
