How in the world do you reach the o2 sensor connection to disconnect it without having arms that are 4 foot long and no bigger than the width of a broom stick handle? I can see it from the fender well, but can't reach it. I can see it from under the hood, but can only touch it one hand awkwardly. I can't see it or touch it from underneath. So what do ya do. I don't want to take it to a shop and have to pay someone to reach and disconnect the o2 sensor because then i will have to pay them for the part and replacement of something i thought i could do myself. Any suggestions?

Hey I just replced mine today and all I did was to take off the O2 sensor ( you might want to go get a special socket for it...it is a deep socket with a big slit on one of the sides and it slides over the wiring) and then, you can pull the wire up from the engine compartment and pull it off then. Then when I put it back on, you can plug it in from the enging compartment, then drop it down to where it's supposed to be put in, then get under there and tighten the thing up.

The special socket was $11 @ Advance Auto, I thought it was too much, but I bought it anyways since I couldn't change it without it. But I took it back to Advance since I probably would never use it again in my life.

Thanks for the input Rock. That was going to be my next attempt, but instead, my local garage is going to put it on for me for $5-10. I couldn't pass it up. That makes it cheaper than the socket, so i guess it was a win win situation. The fuel pressure regulator is next. Can't wait to tackle that tight little spot either!!!

Yeah I got to do that one soon too. I have been lookin all in the haynes manual trying to figure out how hard it is and where it's at, I am gonna look at it today. Hope it goes well with you. Where can you get the regulator at, do you know?
