03 explorer sport lift springs

Yep it will , the newer sports have a leaf pack but it's a lot weaker than a four door

I ask because I have found a steel bumper that I want to get but it's made for 4 door 2nd gen so I've been trying to find out if it would fit

Ya its a steel front bumper "offroad style" if you will.

I just put a steel bumper from RLC on my '01 Sport Trac (same front end as your Sport) that was built for a '95-'01 Explorer. Mounting bolt locations are a little different, i.e. I'm going to need to drill a new hole or two. Otherwise it was a direct and perfect fit. Frame width worked perfectly.

What bumper did you find?

And what does the front bumper have to do with the rear springs?:scratch::

you are a life saver. its that same bumper! they have nothingto do with the rear spring but when he mentioned the bumper with the body lift it got me thinking about it. i posted a seperate thread on if they would fit but did not get any responses, and couldnt find info anywhere else on it.

Yes. 4.25" backspace, whatever that offset comes out to. I'm don't remember off the top of my head. I only have spacers on the rear.

so im working on installing the springs and shackles today i noticed the warrior shackles are wider than the springs and bushings. what did you do to remedy this?

Ya i screwed up i got 151 not 153. They are about a half inch wider. Turns out they are meant for 99-04 250 front springs...

also im having trouble getting the upper bolt out of the shackle.could anyone point me in the direction of the bushing for the frame?

At that price I don't know why people bother with extended shackles and add a leafs.

The cost nearly $600 a pair here.
