I read somewhere they have .45 offset. Will I need spacers, will spacers affect ride or safety? Where can I get spacers, what size will I need? I did some searching through the forum and saw pics of a 92 explorer with newer wheels, but didn't know if they were different from 98's. Thanks for any imput! I just need some good cheap tires for my 98, but the best I could find was new tires on 03 wheels for $300.

Thanks

Hello, i have an 95 limited that i put 03 limited rims on. Without spacers she rumbed really bad and also bound the rim to the lower control arm when turning. so i HAD to get spacers. i got i believe a quarter of an inch. that is about all you can go with stock lugs. It put it out far enough where it does not rum or bind anymore, i wish i would have gotten spacers for the rear tires as well because they dont rub or anything but they do sit back really far in the wheel well. I dont see how they woudl effect safty or ride, JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH LUG LEFT!!!! Dont get to larg of spacer because you would not be able to attack the nut with enough threads for safty!!

So its not a good idea to buy the wheels. Thanks for your input.
