03 Limited Tranny

Just purchased a 2003 explorer limited. It has 133,000 miles on it. A couple of questions.

1-How do I know what tranny I have?
2-If this is a sealed tranny, should I do any maintenance or just let it go until it dies. Not sure if I should do anything to it or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or point me to the correct threads. Thanks.

it should say it on the sticker on the driver side door. Im pretty sure you will want to change the fluid ever so often.

You should have a 5R55S transmission.

On the door sticker I do not see anything that says 5R55S. It does say 3U51A in the bottom right corner. Does that mean anything? Also under TR is has the letter V.

Lifetime fill, expected life 150,000k, save your money for a rebuild. . .

I see the V code means 5R55S. Nice searching around here and finding pertinent information.
