03 Ranger Engine Swap

I wanna swap my 3.0 v6 engine in my 03 ranger for something fast and powerful as a step toward a faster sport truck. what is a good option for an engine that will directly bolt to the existing mounts but will improve the performance.

there is a guy i dunno if he is on the forum or not he has a ranger with the 5.0 and he did tons of other stuff to it.

A 99~2001 Explorer 5.0L and transmission is an easy swap to a 01~03 Ranger will but require some wiring changes. Obviously, the 5.0L has huge aftermarket support so you can make it as fast as your wallet will allow.

Motor mounts are a direct bolt in for 4x4 and Edge models. 2WD XL and XLT will require custom mount adapters. BrianB31 on RPS has plans available for the adapters.
