03 ST question

Well first off hello my name is andy and i have an 03 ST v6 4x4 with some 31's and other then that i'm not sure. It looks like there is a lift but bought from a dealer so no idea. After reading some posts it looks like just the torsion bars where adjusted? I will attach a photo if i can figure it out. thanks for any advice and then some other questions for ya.

How does your ST handle in mud? and Snow? and i'm about to get new tires looking for some imput going to use same rims but new tire so any idea's for highway and offroad. thinking toyo open country m/t thought?

Body lift. Probably a 3" body lift by the looks of that exhaust and how it hangs so low. I've never tried the toyo M/T's but I've got Cooper discoverer stt and I really like them a lot. Not too noisy and good in the mud and snow. Maybe give them a look. Welcome to the site!

I say body lift. It looks like it has a slight rake to the front so I'd guess that the torsion bars have not been turned up.
I've heard good things about the Toyo Open Country M/T's but I've never had them myself.
Generally speaking, an all-terrain is better in snow than a mud-terrain. On my old Trac I had Bridgestone Dueler REVO's which were great in snow and still pretty good in mud. Downside, they wear out kinda fast. I had two sets and didn't get more than 25k out of either of them.

cool thanks for the imputs guys. ya i'm just heading to upstate NY for a week at the holidays so that is about the only snow they will see, just can't justify buying a snow tire for that so i figured something for mud would sufice. thanks for letting me know. I'm still debating on what size tires i want to go with stick with 31's or go up? And looking to do maybe a 2" lift as well, got to start looking at idea's, and also going to make my own intake and breather bypass as well, and maybe exhaust.

and can i do the torsion twist myself? im going to search but at work just to level out the front end or do i need to purchase stuff? So i'll be looking at that tonight though. Thanks guys and i love the site

Just jack it up on a level surface and turn the bolts. You will need to get the front end realigned afterward. Don't turn it up more than 1.5" or you lose too much downtravel.
There is no 2" suspension lift available. All you can do is turn the bars up 1.5" and get extended Warrior shackles for the rear, p/n WAR-153. Assuming the rims on it are 15x8's with 3.75" backspace (common), you can fit a 33x12.50 with just the body lift.
Buy new shocks if they haven't been replaced already. The stockers are way too soft.

you have a recommened shock that i should do a swap with? and do you think i need to AAL to the rear or a new leaf pack of should they be fine? just thinking ahead i plan on keeping this for a while. Thanks again

The favorite shocks among Trac'ers tend to be Monroe Sensa Tracs if you're mostly on-road or Monroe Reflexes if you tow or off-road. I had Sensa Tracs on my old '05 and I liked them. A rear add-a-leaf will raise the rear little to nothing because it is sprung-under and not sprung-over like a Ranger. Unless some of the leaves are broken, just get the Warrior shackles.
My old '05 with a TT/shackle lift and 265/75-16 tires (32"). No body lift.
