hello,
Just recently my 2004 explorer 4.0 somewhat binded after start up while in my driveway, I put it in drive and it rolled a few feet but then as if something was under my wheel it stopped. You could also hear as if a groan was about to happen. Instead of forcing it i changed gears from neutral to reverse and moved back a few feet, engaged and disengaged 4 wheel drive then it moved without a problem.
Now, when moving in reverse ive noticed a clunk, NOT when I first engage but after I get rolling some. I thought id rolled over some bottles or something. Ive read alot of posts over the last two days...
Any thoughts... Please help with any advice you may have on my situation.
