04 Rear Brakes

This may be a dumb question. I am looking at buying a 04 Explorer and when I felt the rear rotor, on the inboard side it was not smooth like the outboard side. I checked several others on the lot and they were all the same. Does the Explorer have some strange rotor configuration or all the rear brakes bad on these Explorers? Thanks

I do not know of any rear rotor problem, I know the rear e-brake shoes have been known to disenegrate but common rotor problems are not anything I am aware of. worse case scenario ask them to turn the rotors or replace them, especially ifyou are offering full price. I am sure with used SUV sales being very low the dealer may work with you
