ok, I replaced the rotors and brakes all the way around 2 months ago. Everything has been fine. Then the snow came and I engaged my 4X4 for the first time. After I disengaged, I got a horrible noise from the front passenger wheel. Got it in my garage and the hub assembly was shot. Replaced that and now I have vibration/shaking in the steering wheel. What the heck is going on? Any thoughts as to the cause and how to fix it?

It sounds some what like what I dealt with on my 2001. I had driver side wheel thumping and shaking at the steering wheel. It took new front hubs, drive axles and for good measure the drive line.
At 130K miles I did BOTH sides figuring the problem would only follew on the passenger side.

Forgot to point out that my front end problems started about 2 months after a complete front / back brake job as well.

We replaced the drivers side front hub a few years ago, when it snapped, and we replaced the passenger front hub on sunday. When the drivers hub snapped we had a royal mess in there so we replaced everything. The truck only has 80k miles. We will take a look at the drive axles and drive line again to be sure.

Wow! 80K.. I don't feel so bad now. Just remembered that I had to replace steering arms as well. I did not get Ford EOM, went aftermarket with replaceable joints.

FWIW I had the "pro's" do a transmission flush at 120K. Three months later I had to have the transmission replaced.
