'05 4X4 module

Can anybody tell me were to find 4X4 module on 2005 Explorer

It should be behind the glove compartment. If you squeeze the sides in the glove box will flop all the way down and it's right there it should have a label that says 4x4CM. I just came in from looking at my '02 b/c 4x4 won't come on.

Kev, are you having problems with your 4X4 or just checking out the location of the module?

According to my shop manual for my 2004, there is no separate 4x4 module. The manual states that the functions are controlled directly by the PCM. I would assume that the same would apply to the 2005.

PCM - Powertrain Control Module.

So no 4x4 module behind the glovebox?

not that I can see.. And I know where it is normally located behind the glovebox.
