Hey,

I am getting the P0401. I have an 05 flex fuel (Vin K) 6 cylinder engine. I have read the threads in here and want to check the hoses, EGR, and DPFE.

Autozone claims they don't stock an EGR, DPFE, or gasket for it.

Dealership says they don't sell a seperate EGR and DPFE, and the combo is 161 dollars. The gasket if I want to just pull the EGR off and clean it is 21.97.

And, the PCV which AZ says doesn't exist on my vehicle is 38.80 at the dealership.

Anybody have autozones part numbers for the dpfe and egr so I can price shop? Somebody said on here O'reilly doesn't carry them, and I am not fond of advanced auto or NAPA.

Thanks!!

-Shawn

Shawn,

Maybe I'm mistaken, but didn't you say that Autozone said that they didn't have the parts?....so why would you want the part # for Autozone?

Check with O'Reilly....I just got a part from them that was hard to find elsewhere.

Also, I advertised for a part on the "Parts Wanted" forum on this site, and got it quickly and at a good price.

I think NAPA is generally ok. Expensive but ok. Just my opinion.

Probably not much help from me but I figured I'd throw my .02 in....you helped me once.

Take care. Ed

sorry if I wasn't clear. I was going off of this year-old post:

"you can go to your local autozone and get a DPFE, it will be listed in their computer as an "EGR Valve Pressure Sensor".. i paid a whopping $39.99 (my wholesale price..shop i work at has an account)..compaired to fords wholesale price of $134.99.
Oreillys does not carry the DPFE."

I called az, they said they didn't have it. I had hopes that someone would know a part number the autozone guy could plug in so that I could solve this issue.....

And, glad I could help!

OK, now it's clearer.

What a pain....nothing's easy. So I guess 'Fast Parts' is out of the ? since the Ford parts were expensive.

It would seem these parts should be readily available.

Sorry I can't help.
