Hello all this is my first Post on this site and I hope someone on here can help me.
Can anyone please provide me with instructions on how to replace a burned out Bulb on my Speedometer for my 2006 Explorer Eddie Bauer. I cant see the speed gauge at night while driving.
Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Replacement Bulbs

Where can I get replacement bulbs for my speedometer on my 2006 Explorer. Ive gone to the Autozone, Pepboys, and Ford itself and nobody has the light bulbs to replace the burned out ones. Is there a place I can go to order them at least? a web site?!

Thanks,

go to your nearest ford dealership. they will for sure have them. anything overlapping your dash(stereo, ect.) you will need to take out. should be a few bolts that hold your dash and stereo on... then will be held on by clips. just use a screw driver to pull the dash or stereo out of the clips. your steering wheel will be in the way.. just pull your steering wheel all the way down then put your e-brake on. take your shifting knob and put it all the way down(which should be in first gear). once youve pulled the dash out there should be a couple peanut bulbs you have to replace. or maybe one. i just replaced one bulb in my 2001 explorer sport and it only didnt light up part of my speedometer

Im not sure what number my bulb is all it says is "OSRAM" 12v 1.5w.
Its a tiny bulb on a brown plastic harness. I was able to get it out, I guess Im going to shop around some more at other Ford Dealers see if they have a clue what bulb it is.
Thanks,

I found the bulbs online so thanks to everyone who pitched in their advice.
Thanks,,

Thanks!

Appreciate the link. My turn signal light went out and the dealership wanted $184 to replace it. The bulb in the link is exactly the one I needed!!!!

Thanks again!

I've looked through the instructions. I am having a hard time removing the wiring harness that is attached to the back of the dash. Suggestions?
Thank you!!!
