06 Mariner O/D off light on

Last night my wife said while driving the O/D off light came on and stayed on. She stopped at a stop light and when she accelerated if hesitated to go into gear. She said once it went into gear it was fine, but when she stopped again it was the same hesitation. Trans fluid full. When you turn the car off and then back on it is not there but when you start driving it comes back on. What else can I check? Thank You

CD4E transmissions either break the 2-4 band or burn up clutch pack.

Ok I took it to the Dealer to have the codes pulled because the CEL was not on and Autoz*ne said they couldn't pull any codes. The Dealer said they pulled a P0732 and a P0734. Today I was driving it and when you take off it revs to about 3K and then decides to shift when you let off of it and goes through the rest pretty smooth. No O/D light. When you slow to turn a corner, and then get on the accelerator halfway through the turn that is when the O/D light starts flashing.

Band is broken, do you have warranty? Dont pay for a rebuild because if you are good you can replace the band with the trans still in the car.

I am pretty inclined but what is involved with changing that band? I have Alldata and i see the explosion of the trans, but no instructions for the band. Do you have any tips? What really makes this band break? Thank You

You have to open the transmission to replace the bands.
