I just noticed today that my muffler now moves a lot more than before. There is the rod that goes down to this rubber piece that then has another rod that attaches to the exhaust pipe. Please let me know if anyone has replaced this or knows how to. I would really like to not take it in because it looks easy and I don't want it there all day. Thanks!!

it just pushes over a flange on the metal rod. it pops off, but may take a little effort. no worries, it's fairly easy. just make sure you get the same size, and tap it on with a little hammer.

So I basically just pull really hard on the rubber piece (which has two holes one above the other) then push the new one of and use a rubber mallet or something to get it on?

exactly. except sometimes they will weld on a little piece to the tip to ensure it doesn't ever fall off, so if you have that, you might have to cut it.

Yea, It has two cone-shaped pieces on the two rods. No idea how to get those off. I dont have cutting tools and such. Ideas?

While we are talking about this, does anyone think that their tailpipe is low? Mine sure seems to sit low from the body and is really visible.

I was off roading last summer and it hit the ground and the rubber piece rotated and the tailpipe tucked up close to the body very nicely, after getting on road again and a 30 minute ride back from the camping site I noticed the tailpipe had melted the underside of the rear bumper a little :(

I pulled down on it a little and THUMP! it popped back down to it's lower position. It's just something that has bothered me since I got it, doesn't look like you can adjust it though.
