I have an '07 Sport Trac, V6, 4.0L. Bought a new radiator off Amazon. Plan to replace it myself this weekend. Any words of wisdom or advice.

Notice about 3 weeks ago the fan sounded very loud all of the sudden when I 1st started accelerating. Ignored it like a knucklehead, and as it turns out, I have a small crack in the radiator about 1 & 1/2", right under the plastic over flow container.

Does not look to difficult to replace but would appreciate any advice or words of wisdom from anyone who has done it. Looks like about a 3 or 4 hour job.......which means it will probably take me all day. :-)

Thanks,

Chris

Hold on to the locks out of the connectors for the transmission lines off your old rad. The O-rings too. Odds are the amazon rad will leak transmission fluid because the connections will be loose.. Just swap out the factory ones if they start leaking.
