I have a '07 Sports Trac Ltd with Dual Zone AC. The A/C diverts from the front panel to the defroster while accelerating or at high speeds at around 2250 rpms. At 75-80 mph (2250 rpms) the air comes out steadily out of the defroster. Once I slow down and the rpms drop below 2250, the ac diverts back to the main vents.

This happens in town as well when accelerating, but diverts back to panel after rpms drop back.

Took it to the Ford dealer and they said that I needed a 1L2Z-19D611-AA solenoid assembly for $196.

I have tried to search for this topic, but apparently searching incorrectly as I am not getting many threads about this issue.

I checked the check valve at the firewall and blew one way and it flowed and blew the other way and nothing came out.

I need help as I live in Texas and it is hot and I need AC.

I would greatly appreciate the help!

Welcome. Also check all your vacuum lines for any leaks.
