New 2008 explorer owner (1 month) and I've experienced the following problem several times: While pressing the brake pedal at a red light or stop sign the engine rpm starts increasing on its own trying to drive me into the guy in front of me. Putting the gearshift into N or P will cancel this problem and put the engine back to idle rpm. Took it to the dealer and he couldn't find anything wrong. He did upgraded the computer program. It has happened once again since the upgrade so that didn't fix it. Have learned to keep my right hand on the gearshift when stopped. I only drive with my right foot so it's not a case of riding both the brake and accelerator pedals. Any thoughts from someone??? Thanks.
