Hey folks. I have an '09, 4.0 with 88,000 on it. Primarily a work vehicle. I've been getting codes for the evap system (P4055) that I've pretty much tied down to the filler neck for the last week or so. It was giving me a warning to check the filler neck also for a while, but that has stopped. Code is for a large leak. Since this is a capless system (grrr!), I tried cleaning the flap in the open position with spray carb cleaner hoping that something was sticking seal wise and it ended the codes for a few days and I hopefully thought it was fixed . The cel is back now. I resprayed the flap and the cel is gone again for the moment, but I cannot keep doing this every couple days. The car runs perfectly, but the cel is annoying. Any suggestions short of replacing the filler neck which is expensive and doesn't look all that easy.

Thanks.

Just got mine back from dealer today, same thing. Smoke leak test showed small leak in fuel filler neck... It is covered under Recall 13N01 However i do have 4.6 and code was P0456...Good luck!

Sadly, I think the only thing would be to replace the neck. Mine was a minor EVAP leak, but still had to have the neck replaced...about $500 later I think it was and the code is gone.

I talked to a local dealer service department and he confirmed that some of the filler neck is covered by the recall you mentioned. I have an appointment to have it looked at next week. Thanks for the info.
