After start up in the morning, drive to the first stop sign, and it's outa gear. Rev a bit and BAM it's in gear and no more problems that day. Also noticed that it's shifting at different points sometimes. Doesn't appear to be slipping.
I'm trying to decide on a rebuilt valve body and solenoids, or a junk yard trans. What do you think? It's getting to be boat and camper season, so I need to do something.
(Oh, and this was a prototype 2002 built in 2000! I have the original Ford paperwork that says this vehicle shall NOT be sold to the public.
