Nope, at least not yet.huskyfan23 said:I think being OBDII might have something to do with it.
Yep I topped it back off again to mix the acetone up into the gasoline.Albino 94LTD said:I'm assuming by your edit that you refilled the tank between trips??
aldive said:I am going to test the acetone/gasoline blend this coming Wednesday on a 510 mile run to Atlanta.
I am going to use the 2 fl oz/10 gal gas blend. The fuel will be Amoco 89 octane. The computer tune will be one of Doug’s ( http://www.bamachips.com/ ) made for my truck on 89 gas. The acetone used is Klean Strip Acetone (http://www.nazdar.com/MSDS/distributed/wmbarr/Klean%20Strip%20Acetone%20(GAC18).pdf [ 100% pure ] ); it cost $4.50/qt at Home Depot. I have previous data on the mileage with this tune; best long run mileage was 28.4 MPG ( http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128827&highlight=computer+tune ). The speed and miles traveled will be GPS determined ( Garmin Street Pilot 2620 ).
The data will be reported when I return to Florida the following week after a dyno session with Doug in Birmingham on Saturday.
Don't know why I'm even bothering to read this threadNICE59FORDF100 said:another thing i didnt think of: what id you need to go ahead and reset the ECU when doin this, so that way, the computer will learn the new feul mixture.
