15x7 or 15x8??

I am about to purchase some new rims and was thinking about 15x8's. I currently have 255/70 on my explorer. The only thing I could see being different would maybe a little more of a profile look. Am I correct inthis assumption?

Hi Dan,

I have 15x8's on my wife's Explorer and 15x7's on my Explorer. Cosmetically I think that they BOTH look great! The 15x8's do look a little wider and give the truck a slightly different look. The only negative concerns I can think of are: The 15x8's might be slightly heavier depending if you go with aluminum or steal; The 15x8's might rub if for example you have the Rancho radius arms.
