Just curious for future reference. I'm pretty sure they do, but do the old style '95-'97 2nd generation 15x7 wheels fit a '98-'01 2nd gen explorer that came with the newer 16x7 wheels?

i would guess so, its the same bolt pattern, and i would bet the rotors and calipers clear the inside, cuz its all the same components i think.

i may be wrong, but it seems like they'd fit

I dont think wheel diameters are really year dependant in the second gen. Its more of a trim thing -- like XLS, XLT, Eddie Bauer, Sport and so on. But having said that, yes a 15" diameter wheel will fit where a 16" used to be. I know because my brother borrowed my old 15" for a bit and bolted it up to his Eddie Bauer which came with 16" wheels stock.

Thanks for the quick replies. I just wasn't sure if the bolt pattern was the same and I'm not sure how to find out if they are the same. So thanks again.
