Hi all,
My 2017 ford explorer started making a faint squeaky noise from engine bay when idle this morning, she has about 18k miles. Any thoughts thx...

Without a video, or hearing the actual sound, random thoughts bring about ideas through past experience, I have seen cold start squeaks usually come from belt driven accessories, idler and tensioner pulley bearings, basically anything that is turning by the belt driven crankshaft can make a squeak. When the engine warms up the squeak goes away, that is until the bearing wears to the point tolerances exceed cold and hot expansion limits, and all the grease/lubricant has been expressed past the seals, dried up and/or contaminated, then it makes noise all the time.

One member had mice issues under the hood.:D

I don’t hear it anymore, couldn’t have been mice, lol. I will get under tomorrow to check it out. Thx for the replies.
